Letter from The Director Feb 8, 2010
Hello Youth! Well, we weren’t open last Saturday and I know many were disappointed. Me too, but it just didn’t work out. I needed the rest too! Our Rummage Sale was a huge success and the money brought in will help The Rock continue to provide a place for you to come! I hope you enjoyed Super Bowl Sunday. I did. I went to my son’s house where there were a lot of people gathered and even though neither team was a favorite, my husband and I decided to root for the Saints and so we were happy with the outcome! There was of food and laughing! We thought we’d be getting a significant amount of snow today (Monday), but it was just warm enough that it melted as it hit the ground. I love the snow, it’s like magic to me, but I have to say that I am getting a little tired of it now and am waiting for it to warm up a bit! Don’t forget to attend The Area Wide Youth Event on Wednesday the 10th. It will be an awesome time! It is free! Doors open at 6:30pm and things begin about 7pm. We will be playing “Are You Smarter than A 5th Grader” when you come back. It should prove to be a really fun night. If you send me an email with “Valentine Drawing” and your name in the subject line, I will put your name in for the drawing. I am getting some neat stuff together for it!! You can get your name put in twice if you log on to the website this week. If you are not registered, do that and it will count also. We had a little bit of a rough night at the end last Saturday and I had to do some suspending. If you think you might be one of those suspended, you probably are, but give me a call if you want to be sure! Hopefully we won’t have a time like that again! It is a matter of respect and I should be able to expect some respect out of all of you. For those of you who are respectful (and there are more who are than those who are not), I am sorry you have to deal with it. But, I think I’ve got a handle on it. Ok, See you all at The Rock Leaona |
